CHAIN ANATOMY
Anatomy of a Chain
Understand the critical components and specifications that define chain performance. Each element is engineered to your application requirements.

Material Grade
Base material alloy specification. Determines corrosion resistance, mechanical strength, and suitability for the target application environment.
Tensile Strength
Maximum load the chain can sustain before failure. Tested per international standards with digital universal testing machines.
Coating Thickness
Plating or PVD coating depth measured by X-ray fluorescence. Ensures consistent finish durability and corrosion resistance.
Corrosion Rating
Salt spray test duration the finish withstands without visible corrosion. Longer durations indicate superior environmental protection.
Flexibility Index
Minimum bend radius without permanent deformation. Smaller values indicate greater drape and suitability for curved applications.
Compliance
Regulatory compliance scope for restricted substances. Verified through third-party lab testing and documented with each shipment.

MATERIALS & FINISHES
Materials & Surface Finishes
The right material and surface finish combination is critical to chain performance. We offer a comprehensive range of base materials and finishing options.

Stainless Steel
304 / 316LExcellent corrosion resistance and strength. Ideal for maritime, medical, food-processing, and outdoor applications. 316L grade offers superior chloride resistance for saltwater environments.
Brass
C26000 / C27000Warm golden tone with excellent malleability. The standard choice for jewellery chains, decorative applications, and architectural hardware. Accepts plating and PVD coatings beautifully.
Copper
C11000High electrical and thermal conductivity with distinctive reddish colour. Used in electrical applications, decorative chains, and as a base layer for multi-stage plating processes.
Carbon Steel
AISI 1045 / 1060High tensile strength and wear resistance for heavy-duty applications. Used in industrial roller chains, conveyor chains, and automotive timing chains. Can be heat-treated for enhanced properties.
Aluminum
6061 / 7075Lightweight with good corrosion resistance. Suitable for applications where weight reduction is critical, such as aerospace components, lightweight decorative chains, and portable equipment.
Sterling Silver
925Premium precious metal for high-end jewellery chains. 92.5% pure silver with hallmark-quality finishing. Available in bright polish, matte, and oxidised antique finishes for luxury brands.
Surface Finish Options

Gold Plating
18K, 22K, and 24K gold electroplating available in various micron thicknesses. Delivers a luxurious finish for jewellery, fashion accessories, and premium decorative chains.
PVD Coating
Physical Vapor Deposition for IP Gold, IP Rose Gold, and IP Gunmetal finishes. Extremely durable, tarnish-resistant, and wear-resistant — ideal for high-end jewellery and fashion chains.
Zinc Plating
Economical corrosion protection for industrial chains. Available in clear (blue), yellow, and black passivation. Suitable for automotive and general industrial applications.
Nickel / Chrome Plating
Hard, wear-resistant finish with bright decorative appearance. Functions as both a standalone finish and an underlayer for gold or silver plating. Excellent corrosion barrier.
Black Oxide
Chemical conversion coating for carbon steel chains. Provides mild corrosion resistance with a matte black appearance. Often used with oil or wax sealant for enhanced protection.
Anodising
Electrochemical process for aluminum chains. Creates a hard, durable oxide layer with colour options. Resistant to wear, corrosion, and UV degradation for architectural and outdoor use.
QUALITY VALIDATION
Performance Testing & Standards
Every chain solution undergoes rigorous testing to verify it meets the performance requirements of its intended application. Our testing protocols align with international standards.
