Manufacturing Process Flow
Each stage of our manufacturing process is designed with precision, traceability, and quality control checkpoints. The following flow details every step from raw material to final shipment.
Material Receipt & Inspection
Incoming raw material is verified against mill certificates and sampled for in-house chemical analysis.
Wire Drawing & Forming
Wire is drawn to specification and formed into links using CNC-controlled automatic forming machines.
Welding & Joining
Links are joined using laser welding or soldering, with every weld seam vision-inspected.
Surface Finishing
Chains undergo electroplating or PVD coating with precise thickness control and XRF verification.
Quality Inspection
Final inspection includes tensile, salt spray, coating thickness, and dimensional verification.
Packaging & Shipment
Completed batches are packaged, labelled, and shipped with full documentation.

Structural Considerations for Chain Design
Grain Direction
Chain plates are stamped with grain direction aligned to the load path, maximizing tensile strength along the primary stress axis and minimizing the risk of intergranular fracture.
Stress Concentration
Plate hole geometry is optimized with generous radii to reduce stress concentration factors. FEA simulation validates designs before tooling is manufactured.
Galvanic Compatibility
Material pairings between pins, bushings, and plates are evaluated for galvanic corrosion potential. Compatible couples are specified to prevent electrochemical degradation.
Wear Interface
Pin-to-bushing and link-to-link contact surfaces are designed with appropriate hardness differentials to control wear patterns and extend chain service life.
Process Parameters
Key process parameters are tightly controlled throughout the manufacturing cycle. The following table provides reference ranges for our primary manufacturing processes.
| Span | Stage | Parameter | Range | Control | Frequency |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wire Drawing | Forming | Wire diameter | 0.2–5.0 mm | ±0.01 mm | Per coil |
| CNC Forming | Forming | Link pitch | 1.0–40 mm | ±0.05 mm | In-process |
| Laser Welding | Joining | Weld penetration | 0.3–0.8 mm | Vision inspected | 100% |
| Electroplating | Finishing | Coating thickness | 0.5–10 μm | XRF verified | Per batch |
